With the violence against law enforcement at the forefront of all of our minds, we need to continue to be better prepared for responding to and recovering from a line of duty death. Chief Nick Metz and Captain Steve Redfearn are founding members of the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation and have many lessons learned and ideas on how law enforcement agencies and executives can be better prepared for responding to a line of duty death. This includes both the initial response and long-term considerations.
